There's still time to preregister for the annual seminar on April 7, 2018. Preregistration is required and will close on March 28th. Preregistration is available online or print out and mail in the registration form, Annual Seminar Brochure and Registration Form.

Michael L. Strauss is the annual seminar speaker and will entertain us with a broad range of topics. Learn about life for early American women and their struggle for rights. Genealogical records from the anti-slavery, temperance and suffrage movement will be covered. For Revolutionary War ancestors, learn about the records created including those of smaller conflicts that continued after the war ended. Often overshadowed by the Revolutionary War, discover ancestral records created by service in the War or 1812. The day will end with tips and techniques for researching black sheep ancestors.

Michael lectures widely throughout the United States and is on the faculty of the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research. He was the film historian and genealogist for the documentary "Finding Vivian Maier," a 2015 Documentary Oscar nominee.

The annual seminar is held at the Mill Race Banquet Center in Winton Woods Park. Admission to the park and parking is included with your registration. The center is accessible with ample parking. A continental breakfast and buffet lunch will be provided.
